Bean to Bar
We have always wanted to make our own chocolate, rather than just making things from chocolate. 2020 was set to be the year that we started making our bean to bar chocolate. While the pandemic certainly threw a spanner in the works it wasn’t going to stop us!
We bought a small grinder and a sack of beans and began experimenting at home during lockdown 1.0. This was the perfect opportunity to spend time developing and perfecting our chocolate recipes – our little girl was delighted to be able to see chocolate being made too!
We made batch after batch, altering the recipe until we felt happy with the end results. By the end of lockdown we had tasted A LOT of chocolate and created recipes for our dark, milk and white chocolate.
Next we set to work designing the labels and packaging and soon had our finished product.
We currently have 6 flavours in our range. All are available from our website and both of our shops – Altrincham and Macclesfield.
So while 2020 was not the year we had imagined at least we were able to use our time to create something (that we think is) pretty awesome! Every cloud and all that…
